This book was difficult for me to read. It was well written and had very high reviews. However, the premise is that the book is born as the main character writes her "confession" to avoid any more of the torture she is subjected to by the Gestapo. Although the descriptions of her treatment are oblique, and referred to with a macabre humor, it was disturbing to me. In addition, the detailed descriptions of the planes they were flying during WWII was boring. Definitely not for the squeamish.
