Come Back: A Mother and Daughter's Journey Through Hell and Back
Review Date: 11/20/2008

a very moving, initially devestating book. you have to push through the first few chapters when all you really want to do is put it down and go get a sunnier book. but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. it doesn't end with you in tears.

this book does not help you with the process of figuring out what you want to do; it just provides everything you would want to know about lots of less-considered careers. so if you have an idea of what you want to do, it is useful to get information about different jobs.

Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia
Review Date: 11/20/2008

I am a very picky reader, but i loved this book: gilbert writes in a poetic - but not flowery - manner and makes her journey (both the breakdowns and breakthroughs) make the reader long to go on a self-discovery journey of their own.
i highly recommend...and start saving money for your own voyage!

The Everything Hot Careers Book: Get the In-Depth Insider Info on Some Really Cool Careers! (Everything Series)
Review Date: 11/20/2008

helpful and DIFFERENT from those other "what career is right for me" books. the "yellow pages" of unusual, often overlooked jobs was very useful too.
would recommend for those who have no CLUE what they want to do.

Fairy Island: An Enchanted Tour of the Homes of the Little Folk

when i found this book, i felt as if some how a dream i had was brought to life. you will not believe the details the artist put together: mirrors made of mica, window panes from twigs, guitar made from half of an empty nut with strings made from flower spindles...absolutely enchanting and a dream of a find...

stays true to roald dahl's writing style. a good choice for children who are not quite to the level of, say, 'the BFG' or 'the witches'.

a WONDERFUL, fun read for managers. puts an entertaining twist on good advice for successfully managing your own crew of workshop elves. a simple, quick read even for those who aren't the official leader of a toyshop.

the only shopping, saving, and sharing this book talks about is that which applies to coupon clipping, saving, and using. for those looking to improve their coupon abilities, a great read. otherwise, not very helpful.

A very good, insightful read. Very well written, in a very truthful way. Interesting, because there are no other first-person accounts on what it's like to be a cutter.
