Beginning the tale of Hitch and Cole, Parker writes an intriguing tale of friendship, loyalty, and honor. Hitch and Cole are hired as Sheriff and deputy in the lawless town of Appaloosa. They are brought in to try and bring order and peace to the city being run by Bragg. Then enters Allie, a seemingly nice innocent woman that falls for Cole and vice versa. This becomes the pivotal plot. We follow the gunslingers as they try to catch Bragg in the act, protect Allie from herself, and have a few gunfights along the way. I enjoyed this story very much. Resolution is the second book in this series, and it takes off where this ones leaves off and elevates the story. The characters are great, as is the dry humor of the two main characters.

This is by far my favorite Batman storyline from the comics. I read the children's novelization when I was younger. Then read this one. I have since collected all 100 issues of the complete storyline. If you are a Batman fan, this is a must. I pick up copies used all the time, and give them to friends. Excellent, compelling read.

For a first novel, I was impressed. The mix of Grey's Anatomy and The Sopranos was great. I enjoyed the characters, writing style, and the story. A bit outlandish at the end, but the squirm factor was worth it. Truly, an enjoyable read!

This was an excellent story. It is written in Spanglish, but the footnotes will help you out. I couldn't put this one down.

A fantastic sequel to the its original. It picked up the the first one left off. I love that Suzanne Collins does not pull any punches with her story. It is a brutal dystopian time, and she does not sugar coat it. The third cannot get here fast enough.

Kind of stupid. Run of the mill story. I really don't know what the hype is all about.

I read the book after completing the first season of the show. Following the adventures of a serial killer of bad guys is great, no matter what. So, I enjoyed this story, just not as much as the show. I know it sounds weird, but it is true. The changes in the plot were shockingly different. An absolute read for fans of the show.

The second season of the show was loosely based on this novel. As we follow Dexter as he tracks down a killer, we get glimpses into what drives him. Characters go through shocking changes, and some die. This books accompanies the original nicely. The show just delves into the characters more, but that is because the books are written from Dexter's point of view.

If this is where the books are heading, I will stick with the show alone. The first two books were a fun, good read. This one got all science fiction-ish. I did not care for the changes in writing style. The story was lame, and I was glad when it ended. I am going to read the fourth book, out of respect to the series, but if it is no better than this, I am done with them. Luckily, the show went off on its own path.

I loved this book so much that I went straight out and bought sequel. I liked the sequel so much, that I went and pre-ordered the third. A truly enjoyable book. This first one was not that orignal in its concept, but its execution was perfect.

It was okay. It was short, so, before you can really get mad at it for being dumb, it's over.

I found this book quite boring after a promising opening. It started to drag, then it finally ended. It was an interesting idea, but poor in execution.

This is one of the few times that the sequel is better than the original. I loved Appaloosa, but this Resolution was better. I can't wait for Brimstone. The adventures of Hitch and Cole in the expanding, unruly Old West are fun, quick reads.

This is one of the best books I have read in the last few years. Cormac McCarthy's writing style took me a little while to get the hang of, but after that, I couldn't put the book down. This was his first book I have read, and the only Oprah book I have ever read. No Country for Old Men is next on my list.

I don't really get the hype. I loved the book and couldn't get enough of it for the first three fourths. After that, I foind Julia to be very mean, self-centered, and a destroyer of families.

This was an interesting tale from Dennis Lehane. I was only familiar with Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone as films. This was his first novel that I read. I picked it up for $1 at a used book store. I could not put it down. The story is compelling and twisted. I cannot wait to see what DiCaprio and Scorsese can do with this source material.
