After the Fire: The Destruction of the Lancaster County Amish
Review Date: 10/12/2011

This book has some interesting information about the Amish. It mostly focuses on the problems Amish face living in modern times. Regulations requiring permits for certain farm operations, building permits and other legalities often make it difficult to stay separate from modern life. In many areas, businesses and houses are closing in on Amish farms, crowding them out and hindering their way of life.

The Daily Bible: With Devotional Insights to Guide You Through God's Word : New International Version
Review Date: 4/4/2014

The Word Of God always gets a top rating from me! Otherwise, I want to mention that I don't always agree with all the commentary, but it is basically sound. None of it has been contrary to the Bible on basic doctrine. The rest is only speculation, as all commentary is. Some of the commentary has helped me understand more about the Bible.
