I love Chet! This is another mystery with humor and unexpected twists like the first in the series. Very entertaining. There were a couple of loose ends at the end, but I expect those will be addressed in the next book. Overall, a fun and fairly quick read.

Fun! I liked this one better than the first one, Chet is a great narrator, you truly feel that dog is telling the story. for those of you that like a good mystery and love dogs, this is a great series! cant wait for #3!
Well, I really enjoyed this book. The mystery was quite solid, though not terribly unpredictable. The ending was a little ominous, making me VERY anxious for the release of the next installment. I think that I liked the first one (_Dog On It_) more, but a lot of that could have to do with how fresh and original the series as a whole is, though I do think that the first book was more suspenseful than this one. Still, it was a lot of fun to read - Chet the Jet is a very likable and funny narrator. I really like this series!

Taken from the inside cover of the book jacket."Bernie and Chet are called on to investigate threats made against an unlikely target-a pretty, pampered show dog named Princess. What seems like a joke turns into a serious case when Princess and her owner are abducted." On top of all that, Bernie's love interest Susie, whom we meet in the first book, goes missing.
I am enjoying this series and there is a lot going on, making it a fast paced book. A couple of the scenes were upsetting and did leave you hanging for a few chapters but in the end all was put together. I must admit I thought I had it figured out on who did the deed but boy with all the twist and turns I was very wrong. Chet is being the slow but gets there detective and Bernie is being the usual good loyal dog. Can't wait to read the next book.

Not as good as the first book but still a fast, fun read. Quinn definitely has a formula that he follows but it doesn't make the books any less addictive. Hoping the next one isn't so obvious and that Chet doesn't have to go through a bad experience every time.

I really loved this Chet & Bernie mystery...even better, if that's possible, than the first one! Can't wait to read #3! (#4 due out next fall) Love the way that Chet the dog tells us the story from his point of view...made me chuckle throughout..and the mystery part was good too!
I absolutely love the narration by Chet, the canine partner in this PI team. The author nails the excitement and actions of a dog in so many ways. Highly recommended for all dog lovers.

Great book if you like good mysteries with a fun twist! I'd highly recommend.

After reading "Dog On It," I was looking forward to reading another book by this author. Although I didn't like this one as much, I still found it to be entertaining. The story is told/narrated by Bernie's beloved dog Chet who is full of personality. I loved his humor and the special bond he shares with Bernie. I would certainly read other books written by Spencer Quinn.
I really enjoyed this 2nd in a series. This Chet & Bernie story was even more fun than the first one. Easy reading, entertaining, funny... just a real cute story when it's through the eyes of a dog. A nice light summer read. Can't wait to see what Chet can get into next time around!
Every dog person has to love Chet. Fun & engaging.
enjoyed the book very much

I enjoyed 'Dog on It' more than this 2nd. book in the Chet and Barney Little Detective Agency series. This book didn't flow as smoothly as the first book. Chet tosses to many side line bones in and goes off on tangents. It became irritating and tiresome. The storyline was good and there was suspense involved in the tail. Although Chet is basically undisciplined, like his master; I really like Chet and Barney and will continue to read Spencer Quinn.

While I think I enjoyed the first book in the series slightly more than this one, this is a fun read. Chet and Bernie take on the case of the missing show dog and her owner. Interesting twists and turns in this "who-done-it". I really enjoy the book being told from the canine's perspective....makes you think about how they perceive humans and our weird language/phrases, bodies and actions!
Just love this series. What I found fascinating about this book is that Chet knows how the mystery is solved but can Bernie figure out Chet's knowledge .
