This is a funny, light read. Kept me laughing throughout the book. Finished it in one day. MB's best friend Katherine will keep you entertained. I didn't like the attitude of her daughter Erin, but other than that, it was a good read. Definitely would recommend picking it up if you like witty romances.

Mary Kay Andrews just writes the best southern fluff fiction around. Her books are entertaining and quick and a wonderful diversion. Like eating a piece of divinity fudge. Technically she is an excellent writer with great descriptions, builds good characters and keeps the plot zipping along. Her settings, in the deep south, are just great and she really has it down pat.
'Little Bitty Lies' is a fun book and a great read. Nothing too heavy but just plain enjoyable. I look forward to all her books.

True to Mary Kay Andrews, this book was a very entertaining read. It wasn't, however, as hilarious as some of her other books. If you're looking for an uproariously funny novel from Mary Kay Andrews, try Hissy Fit, or Savannah Breeze. I thought both of those were much, much better!

A comic Southern novel not only about one woman's lifelong quest for home but also about all the important things in life: marriage and divorce, mothers and daughters, friendship and betrayal, small-town secrets - and the perfect recipe for chicken salad.

Cute, humorous story. Mary Bliss McGowan starts counting the number of divorces in her neighborhood, not knowing that her own marriage has hit the skids. Stunned and humiliated she concocts a less embarassing story - her husband, Parker, didn't leave her - he's just simply DEAD!
Little Bitty Lies tells about the important things in a Southern woman's life, marriage, love, divorce, mothers and daughters, and a great recipe for chicken salad!

Definitely a fun Southern novel that takes place in Atlanta. Our heroine takes the reader on a journey through marriage, divorce, mothers and daughters, friendship and deception with much humor and Southern style.

The suspense was great. The main character, Mary Bliss McGowan, makes choices that would never be made if her life had remained status quo. Mary Bliss confirms that revenge is oh so sweet. This book is a page turner just like all of Mary Kay Andrews' books.

This book is so funny, I literaly laughed out loud! It is a must read for anyone who has gone through a divorce. The neighbor Katharine has all the anger toward her ex-husband, and carries it out in a funny and sadistic humor. Probably the way anyone who has been divorced feels, but she acts on it.

Excellent Book!! After the first couple of chapters I was hooked. I didn't want to put this book down. The characters were fun and the story line was great. Katherine the best friend is a great character. This book is a lot of fun and a real page turner.

This is a great book set in the south. All of Mary Kay Andrew's books are great fun to read. They are light and humorous and very entertaining. If this is the type of book you like to read then you will not be disappointed.

I love Mary Kay Andrews! She also writes as Kathy Trocheck.

Growing up in Atlanta this book really brought me back "home" and made me miss being closer to the city. It made me remember the fun times in our own neighborhood, hanging out at the pool club and all the gossip that went on. It was a fun book to read and it has me ready to cook up some chicken salad!

Who couldn't love this book! A suburbia mom goes to great lengths to protect her daughter. And what does she get in return? Ohhhhh wow...you must see! Every snubbed females dream come true.

The back of this book has a quote from Washington Post "You'll want to bitch, bond and run through the backyard sprinklers in your underwear with [the characters]" and this describes this book perfectly!
A fun book with real characters.
Great Book Really LIKED IT
What can be said of this book ...light, hilarious, a great beach or liesure read.
Light, not-too-believable, but a good "beach" read. Southern life at it's most stereotypical.
Her books are always a fun easy read and this one does not disappoint!
Mary Bliss trusts her husband to take care of her and their daughter. They live in a good neighborhood in Atlanta where her daughter goes to an expensive private school. Then one day, her husband disappears with all of their money. Mary and her best friend concoct a plan to fake her husband's death. There is a strange man coming around asking questions about her husband. Her daughter stops showing up at home. Can Mary pull off the death of her husband when he is off spending their money? Can she keep up with her neighbors and not let everyone know she is broke? Funny book!
Cute and readable, but certainly not her best. Not quite as funny as her other books but for a fluff novel not bad either.
I loved it!! I have also read her other books, and they are also very funny. It has a great story line, one that would be especially appreciated by a "Southern Belle".
Mary Bliss was happy until her husband leaves her with a note. He takes ALL the money and disappears. So Mary Bliss tells a lie that her husband died in a freak accident in Mexico. Fun book.
Good old fashioned southern charm! Breezy read, fun characters and a recipe to boot! Good way to spend a weekend!
One thing leads to another. Very funny
This book is terrific! Mary Kay Andrews always writes a great read! Loved it and couldn't put it down.
Laugh out loud funny!
Great summer read! Quick and light!!
I love all her other books but I couldn't even finish this one. Mary Bliss was just so judgmental towards her best friend in that first chapter I find myself hating her and not being sympathetic to her at all.
I highly recommend all her other books though. They are funny are a quick read. They are also very sweet and definitely there are more romance than explicit sex scenes.

Humorous southern fiction!
A quick fun read, one I would reccomend. Great recipe for chicken salad, too!
semi cute but in reality inplausible chic lit-read if you have nothing else to do. BTW-southerners do not behave like these two women.
Pure southern delight....Wonderful book to read.
great book. the story really keeps you going.
Very funny book.
It was a great book and I could not put it down until I was finished with it.
Good Southern novel!
What fun following the antics of Mary Bliss McGowan as her "little bitty lies" fly bach in her face!
Very funny book with an original plot.
In a suburban Atlanta neighborhood where divorce is as rampant as kudzu, Mary Bliss McGowan doesn't notice that her own marriage is in trouble until the summer night she finds a note from her husband, Parker, telling her he's gone - and has taken the family fortune with him.

I liked Savannah Blues and Hissy Fit better, but this is a good read.
A really wonderful romp and a fun novel. I stayed up till 4 AM and could not put it down....it is so true one little lie can get you in so much trouble!
I love all of Mary Kay Andrews novels--Savannah Blues is my fave, but I like this one too. Another fun southern romp! *****
Excellent book! I fell in love with the characters and I thought it was such a funny story!!
I loved this book. It had a little mystery with some comedy and was very enjoyable.
Very cute and light southern chic-lit reading. Highly enjoyable. One character reminded me of Samantha from Sex and the City.
Andrews is slightly off her game in this tale of a woman abandoned by her yuppie husband, who decides to dig herself out of the financial hole he's left by faking his death to collect on his life insurance. There are some fun moments (doesn't sound like it from the synopsis, does it?), but overall it was less than memorable.

Such a fun read!
I could not put this book down once I started reading it. Some parts were somewhat predictable but others were a complete surprise. I loved the ending.
Always a pleasure to read Mary Kay Andrews books. Always a twist of the plot.
Good story, great characters! I always enjoy her books and this does not disappoint.
Just love this author!
Couldn't get into this book. Didn't finish.
Fun fun fun. Story moves right along, well written, enjoyed it. Characters and believable, and witty. Mary Kay Andrews has a way with words that is a joy to read.
Mary Kay Andrews has perfected "southern chick lit!". I absolutely loved it! It was an incredible read. It wasn't my favorite by Andrews, Hissy Fit is the best!, but it is a fun book. It's about uppercrust life and divorce and picking up the pieces all while telling little white lies... It's really funny.
very good book....enjoyable read
I really liked all of the rest of her books but this one seemed lacking. Her other books were quite funny and entertaining but this one not so much.
Great story and author. Could not put it down.
Keep them coming Mary Kay Andrews..love your books
