All the reviews I had read concerning this book sounded great! This has to be one of the most pointless books I've ever managed to read through. Endless babble concerning me, me, me and him, him, him. I found it slow, boring, NOT funny, and pointless. Thoroughly disappointed. The best part was the end of the book!

This book was written by Patricia Marx, who did writing for SNL. Very light read.

Very witty tale of an obsessed young woman and what happens after she is strung along for way too long by a narcisstic intellectual blowhard named Eugene. Written by former SNL staff writer. Set in England and New York. Fun read. To be savored. Still a relatively quick read.

When I finished the book I was as happy as the heroine, that her lover was finally out of her life! Funny but sad about not being able to let go, even when what you're hanging onto is an anchor

A good rollicking novel that is modern, quirky, and surreal. I love her deadpan delivery of outrageous stories, and her descriptions of her pathetic but endearing characters.
Very enjoyable...funny, witty, wacky, absurd!

I enjoyed this book. It is rather strangely narrated and full of dry humor but kept me coming back for more. The character of Eugene was so irritating. I liked the author's style despite it being a very different brand of humor than my own, I laughed a lot while reading this quirky and satirical novel.
