As every other Dan Brown book I have read Deception Point was a page turner and I never wanted to put it down. If you enjoy suspense and thrillers this is a good book to read. It also had a lot of interesting information about NASA which is supposed to be true. I would definitely recommend this book.

This is a great read...I was put off at first by the size of the novel (over 700 pgs), but it turns out, the plot is so interesting and so well written that it was really a fast read. There is non-stop action on multiple fronts, the characters are well developed and "likable"and Dan Brown is an exceptional story teller. I highly recommend this book.

Once again another excellent adventure from Dan Brown. If you political scandal, deep family troubles, murder, deception (as the title so readily tells us already), and even romance, this book is amazing. It has a little bit of everything and is hard to put down until you get to the very last line. Every new twist and turn is a wonder, Deception Point is one book out of few I would reccomend to most everyone.

If you liked the DiVinci Code, you will love this book. It has a similar plot structure, but we are dealing with government secrets not religious ones. The heroes are likable, and of course romance is involved. Like Code, it can be hard at times to tell what is real and fake, but still a great read!

Dan Brown is a very good story teller. I don't know how much of the science he describes is based in truth, but it was fun to suspend belief for a while and get into this action packed thriller. Excellent adventure. Insanely quick read. Another great escape.
Artifact found in polar ice seems to save the fading reelection hopes of an unpopular President. But people and clues pointing to scientific trickery are erased by well armed assassins. An unexpected ending.
Not as good as Angels and Demons or DaVinci Code, but better than Digital Fortress. I liked this one because Brown ventured away from the Catholic Church storyline. Fast read, very entertaining.

Dan Brown has a talent for writing these 'beyond belief' adventure stories. Still, I've read them all and now wait for him to write more. This one is as good as any other Dan Brown book. My only criticism is the unbelievable escapes from certain death our hero and heroin have. (Rachel Sexton and Michael Tolland in this case).

An OK mytery/thriller from the author of "The Da Vinci Code". Not nearly as many plot twists as TDVC, in fact I figured this one out about 1/2way through. Despite everything, it's a must-read for Brown fans.

This was the first book I read by Dan Brown and it truly was a smart thriller... kept me guessing right up until the end!!! Fast paced, great page turner involving the President of the United States, NASA, and trying to figure out who is trying to kill who and why... great read!

This is a great read. I have been hooked on Dan Brown Books since the Da Vinci code. He is the master of twists and turns and endings you won't believe.

Loved it! Just a bit disturbing, especially since I have connecions to NASA.
Dan Brown is still trying to find his writing syle in this book, but it is an interesting look into a government conspiracy situation. Action packed!

Too much going on for me to keep up with but I would like to know what happened, just not enough to keep trying to read it.
Well, I did like this book better than Angels & Demons, but that isn't saying much. Brown has a definite formula that he follows, making his books extremely formulaic and predictable. I knew who the controller was before the book was half over.
The writing is also of a poor quality. "He was muscular and lithe with eyes as desolate as the topography on which he was stationed." What kind of simile is that? The topography? Brown's frequent reliance on sentences such as "Geologist Charles Brophy had endured the saveage splendor of this terrain for years, and yet nothing could prepare him for a fate as barbarous and unnatural as the one about to befall him." Gee, nothing kills the suspense faster than knowing the guy's fate as he's being introduced!

The writing is also of a poor quality. "He was muscular and lithe with eyes as desolate as the topography on which he was stationed." What kind of simile is that? The topography? Brown's frequent reliance on sentences such as "Geologist Charles Brophy had endured the saveage splendor of this terrain for years, and yet nothing could prepare him for a fate as barbarous and unnatural as the one about to befall him." Gee, nothing kills the suspense faster than knowing the guy's fate as he's being introduced!

You can practically see the screenplay as you read it. Not fine literature, but entertaining enough.
I was a bit leary when I saw that this book had well over 500 pages in it, but it turned out to be a very good, fast-paced read. It was long enough to last me through a long weekend at the beach. The ending was a bit surprising, as I never guessed who the bad guy was.

Very good book, never dull. Involves politics, conspiracy & scientific discovery (that of course will change everything!) I'm a science-minded gal myself, with a Biology degree so this appealed to me. Recommended.
This is a very exciting book and I recommend it to everyone to read at least once It is a very fast paced book moving along and going from one place to the other the characters are real and lively and absorb your thoughts and keep your mind on the chapter you are reading

A good read.Keeps moving but could have been a hundred pages shorter and it still would have been good.
A good, fast-paced book, but it is nothing like "Angels & Demons" and "The da Vinci Code."

A fast moving thriller that's hard to put down. lot's of twists and turns make it interesting.
Interesting story, it gives a nice insight into Italy and Italian believe it or not lol. It lacks the depth of Browns other works, almost like it was written at a childs level. A good evening read. I smiled alot while reading it.

This book is missing the dustjacket, but is in otherwise great condition!
(this review may be a spoiler) ... The bad guy is REALLY BAD, as seen near the start of this story. Marjorie Tench is also as nasty a character as I've encountered since reading of Myron Bolitar's arch enemies (Harlan Coben books). This was my first Brown reading. I was skeptical about there being undistorted fossils in chondruled rock, but I decided to "accept" Brown's solution to get on with the plot.
