I *LOVED* this book! Nora Roberts is the queen of trilogies, and BLOOD BROTHERS is the start of another winning romantic paranormal trilogy.

Cal, Fox, and Gage were only ten when they unleashed the demonic power trapped beneath the Pagan Stone. Every seven years, for seven days, a horrible and deadly power is unleashed in Hawkins Hollow. People commit horrible acts, and then can't remember doing any of it.

For these three men, it's been twenty-one years since whatever entity resided in that glade was let loose. Now, it's up to them to stop it before it's too late.

When Quinn comes to town, looking to research these strange events and turn them into a book, her presence seems to make the power of the three men even stronger -- but it also makes the "entity" stronger, as well. When Layla and Cybil are also drawn to Hawkins Hollow, the three men and three women band together to stop the horror that grips this town every seven years.

As I said, I really loved this book, and I can't wait for the next two books in the series. This is another winner, and fans of Ms. Roberts' THE KEY TRILOGY and the DANCE UPON THE... series will definitely enjoy THE SIGN OF SEVEN trilogy!

This is start of new trilogy. I bought on a Friday night and by Sunday am - read it all. This is a book of secrets- by the 3 main guys- by the town- by the 3 women involved. There are several scenes that made me shiver. She uses wonderful descriptions of the "encounters" to the point that you are there when the demon appears. Her men are real acting- not super heroes- but flesh and blood. The actions of everyone in the book draw you into their life. One of the mothers in the book is so real that you can identify with mothers you have known. And the father of Caleb is like so many real people I know.
I guess what I am saying- This is Roberts best book in a long time. You are actually there where this happens.
I am giving the book "10" stars. Only did that 1 time before.

This book was recommended by my Mom. At first I was skeptical as I knew Nora Roberts wrote romances; but MAN!! Was I in for a TREAT!!

Hawkins Hollow is the typical peaceful, loving town, where everyone knows another by name, and give a helping hand if their neighbor needed it.

But then one fateful night in July, at the stroke of midnight; three boys unleash an evil. Now every 7 years, for 7 days; evil walks the quit town of Hawkins Hollow bringing nothing but choas, sorrow, and death to all that dwell there.

Together the three boys grow into adult hood, dealing with what they've released and trying to put an end to what they have done. Will they be able to solve this dark mystery? Will they be able to except the help of outsiders? Will the 7 days of darkness end?

A must read. You will not regreat it and you will find it very hard to put this book down. This is just the first of the three books. Enjoy it and make sure you have a good sturdy chair; this will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This book was a good read. I finished it in a day because I wasn't able to sleep because it scared me a bit! Otherwise, it was a good book with interesting characters. Pretty typical of Nora Robert's trilogies, it mixes the supernatural with the more mundane.

This was my first Nora Roberts book and I LOVED it! I cannot wait until the next one comes out. It's about 3 kids who go out into the woods to camp out on the eve of their 10th birthday and unleash something evil. It is similar to Stephen King's "IT" in that they get together again and again into their adulthood to fight the evil that has taken hold of their quaint little town. It is mysterious, scary, romantic and so much more. I breezed right through it because it just had so much going on. The characters are great. Such a good book!

Is this really Nora Roberts writing or does she have a crew of ghost writers. Throughout most of the book the dialog was so choppy I sometimes had to read a sentence twice to understand it, but near the end I felt that someone else got to the wordprocessor and finished up the book with more coherent sentences. I have read a few other Nora Roberts books that I really enjoyed, but I forced myself to finish this one. What a wast of time I should have put it down and move on to the next on my list. I will definitely not read the rest of the trilogy.

I really wanted to like Blood Brothers, but I didn't. I did not like Quinn at all. She was too perfect and very pushy. Caleb was like a cardboard cut-out character; there was no substance to him at all, IMO. The plot started off okay, but started to get a little ridiculous as the story progressed. I can say that I will not be reading the next two in this series.

Amazing! Another Nora Roberts classic that you will not want to put down.

Roberts creates characters that stick with you; like the Morrigan's Cross trilogy, I know I'm going to be brokenhearted when I get to the end.

A trio of friends (with a great many coincidences among each other), unleash a dark evil on their town during their tenth birthday. It brings the "Seven" - seven days, during the seventh month, every seven years - that the town goes a little crazy.

It's been 21 years...and with some help from new friends, they're ready to face up to their responsibiltiy, as a haunting past calls to them, and they hold to the hope of a beautiful future as their weapon.

Hi everyone, I've read all three of these books and they were all very good. If you like a mix of; family, lovers, fighting demons and crazed people and animals, then this is definately a book for you. The three "blood brothers" who were born on the same day of the same year and at what they would guess would be the exact same time, are Gage, Cal and Fox. They live in a tiny town called Hawkins Hollow where every seven years on what they call "The Seven" people, animals and even their loved ones go crazy. I loved this book as well as the entire trilogy!

Nora Roberts once again weaves the lives of her characters together into a story that not only endears them to her readers, but also involves the supernatural. Three boys, born on the same day, make a pact on their 10th birthday to become blood brothers and in doing so unleash a force of evil. The force returns during the seventh day of the seventh month every seven years. In this first book, a group of 3 women end up in their town and team up with the boys, who are now men, readying to fight the evil for the 3rd round. The book covers the introduction of all the characters, their relationship with one another, and their research and joining together into a group of 6 to fight the evil. They succeed in round one, which leads the way into the second book of the trilogy.

In spite of a few similarities to some of her other series/books, I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy. The first book does a good job of introducing characters and developing plot without getting bogged down.
The story is interesting and as always with this author, the dialog flows beautifully.
Caleb and Quinn's story is very well done. I always fall in love with Ms. Roberts hero's, and wish her heroines were my best friends; mark of an accomplished writer.
There is enough humor to lighten up an otherwise tense and suspenseful story, but, not too much to detract at the wrong time.
This book, along with the next two in the series, is on my "keeper" shelf.

I truly do enjoy Nora Roberts books, however I'm not the biggest fan of this series. It has nothing to do with the writing and more to do with the plot. This is more of a thriller/ ghost story wrapped up in a romance. While I enjoy the inventiveness, I'm just not a fan of thrillers.

This trilogy, in my opinion, is her best to date. I started reading Blood Brothers on a Thursday night after work. Nora Roberts follows her tried and true formula in the first book of The Seven Trilogy. The story in all wasn't too bad. However I was a little annoyed with the mistakes in the editing. Juneau, Alaska was misspelled, for example. The dialogue was enough to make me snort in disgust. The female characters had a fondness for not finishing their sentences. Argh! However, I will probably read the next two books as well. What can I say, I'm an addict.

I don't normally like books about evil that can't be explained but I do like Nora Roberts so I started reading this book. I found the characters very interesting so before I realized it I was hooked. Every seven years on the seventh day of the seventh month strange things happen in Hawkins Hollow. Unexplained things change normal people into crazy people doing crazy things then it's over and Hawkins Hollow is back to normal.

This time, things feel different and new people are in town that feel it too. As the characters meet and begin to understand that what is happening to Hawkins Hollow is about them things get interesting.

Good book, keeps you interested. I will be reading the other two books in this series.

I enjoy suspense novels with the added bit of romance, but I've noticed they all tend to follow the same script. Girl meets boy, are chased by bad guy, girl and boy end up in bed, and beat the bad guy in the end. But when you add in the supernatural, that's when things get interesting! If you love Dean Koontz as well as authors like Karen Robards and Sandra Brown, then you'll love this! I loved this first book in the trilogy and immediately went out and found the second book, "The Hollow" at the library. Can't wait for the final installment to be released!

I can sum up this book in one word; Cheesey! About the nicest thing I can say is that if you want a mindless read, this is the book for you. And to be fair, sometimes that is exactly what one needs.

I felt like I was back in high school reading this. Honestly, the book is written for someone w/the intelligence and attention span of a 3rd grader. The plot had a lot of potential but the end is so stupid, (and I won't give it away but it's a huge disappointment), that I wished I had followed my original instinct and never read it. I won't be reading the remaining books in the triology, that's for sure.

When writer Quinn Black decides to write about the phenomenon it is soon discovered that she, along with two other women, are connected and necessary to the destruction of the demon. First in the "SIGN OF SEVEN" trilogy. Three buddies, born on the 7th day of the 7th month in the same year, on their tenth birthday, make a pledge in blood at the "pagan stone" in the woods. Henceforth, every 7 years, the town is thrown into extreme violence...murder and suicide rates skyrocket, arose and people killed in fires increases, marital violence escalates, etc. Convinced that they accidentally unleased a demon, the buddies reconnoiter 21 years later. They're older and wiser and 3 female friends have joined them. They are certain that this is the year that the demon must be destroyed...at all costs. I'm looking forward to the next book, THE HOLLOW, which is due out in May, 2008.
