Paranormal/fantasy by master erotic romance writer Angela Knight. See her site at www.angelasknights.com - This is the first in her "Mageverse" series. Very different take on vampires, great world building. Some of the series, including this book, spill over into the urban fantasy sub-genre. I loved it.
