This book had so many good things going for it. First the world of cupcakes was yummy, and fun. The characters and their relationships were a plus. The mystery was fun enough, but I had my suspect right away. The connection to why and how of the murderer was well done, and not obvious. I think the thing that bugged me most about the book was that it was set in Scottsdale Arizona, and to be honest they author wrote in such a way that it could have been set in any city anytown:CA< GA< or anywhere. You didnt get a feel that it was set in the richest city in the desert of AZ. But I think for most people that wont distract from the whole point of this cozy, which is murder and cupcakes. I am interested in reading book two to see how the relationships turn out.
