Awesome start to a delishous new series!!!!

Meet Mel and Angie, owners of Fairytale Cupcakes Bakery in Scottsdale Arizona. When their longtime best friend and co-owner, Tate decides to marry the worlds worst bridezilla, their booming buisness takes a massive plunge when the bride-to-be is found dead in her fasion studio, the only evidence being one of Mels origional recipe cupcakes found in her hand.

The police have built an incredibly strong case against Mel, and if things werent bad enough, her business rival, Olivia is determined to put their bakery 6 feet under. Mel and Angie are strong characters and they are determined to clear their names before its too late.

This was a great little cozy that was fast paced and sugar coated! For a small book, (215 pages) the story really packed a punch. I read it in only one sitting, but was suprised by the twist at the end. The author did a good job concealing the killers' identity until the final reveal. The scene when Mel gets away from the killer was absolutely histerical!!!! The recipes in the back were simply scrumptious, and I will definitely be following this series without a doubt.

This first book in this new series gives us a fresh baked "who-dun-it" that will have you craving for cupcakes from the first page to the last.
A cupcake bakery, "Fairy Tale Cupcakes", is a dream come true for Mel Cooper and Angie DeLaura. They are excited about their first big order of 500 cupcakes for a wedding until Mel sits down with the bride. She puts any "bridezilla" you have ever seen on television to shame. When Mel goes for a follow up meeting she finds the bride dead with a one of her cupcakes in her hand, she then becomes the number one suspect. Mel knows she didn't do it and she has to find out who did, to keep herself from being arrested and to save their business.

Add into this mixture Angie's seven brothers, a crazy competitor, and their best friend Tate, who happens to be the groom and you have the recipe for a great cozy mystery.

The book is set to be released on Mar 2, 2010

I really enjoyed this debut cozy mystery. Melanie and her friend Angie open a cupcake bakery, partnered with their friend Tate. Tate's fiance, Christie is a designer who orders 500 cupcakes of never before tried flavors for their wedding. Mel decides to go through with it for her dear friend Tate, but not for Christie's sake. Mel regrets her decision when the bride-to-be ends up dead, and she is the prime suspect. Mel's determination in finding the real murdererer makes for an interesting story. There are even some lucious recipes to boot. I am looking forward to her next book in the series.

Great start to a new series. I really enjoyed the relationships in this book. Specifically the friendship between 3 of the main characters and the relationship of the DeLaura siblings. I even liked the rivalry between the two bakeries. I figured out the culprit towards the end, but thoroughly enjoyed the story. The recipes sounds delightful too!! Looking forward to the next book.

Very good story of old friends and new with murder on the sideline. Is it family, friends, or competition?
Exciting and funny to the finale. Don't forget the tempting cupcake recipes.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable read! It took me less then six hours to read - the characters were fun, enjoyable, the plot was well thought out and the ending was far from what I figured it would be! Author also put some great sounding recipes for us bakers to try! A wonderful cozy read and I look forward to getting my hands on the next in the series!

Really enjoyed the first of this series--connected with the characters and their life. That can be tough in a new series but it was done really well here. Good mystery too! Will definitely read more!
