Helpful Score: 1
One main plot here and several smaller ones. It seemed to be kinda disjointed and hard to follow at first. But, by the time I was 3/4 ths thru the book I couldn't put it down. Just had to know how it ended. And, one of the smaller plots didn't get resolved at the end of the book. So Nancy Bush has left the door open for a sequel. (That's good news!!)
THe main plot is that Gemma has time lapses and black outs. She falls for the local sheriff, and he's got the hots for her; however, she's a "person of interest" in a hit and run turned homicide death of a child molester. So, the sheriff tries to fight off his natural instincts, but still can't consider Gemma to be the culprit.
This is a good story. Looks like Nancy Bush is going to be an author to be reckoned with in the horror story genre...just like her sister, Lisa Jackson.
