Two short stories by Lisa. "A Dangerous Precedent" was less appealing to me. Kirsten McQueen files an age discrimination lawsuit against her former employer. And, proceeds to fall in love with Dane, the brilliant attorney for the defense. You have to wonder about Dane's motives when he puts the moves on Kirsten. Some of the parts of the story seemed over-dramatic, and I caught myself wondering why Kirsten seemed to make the same mistakes over and over again. Parts of it were boring.

"Double Exposure" was more interesting. Melanie makes a vow to her talented, downhill skiing boyfriend, Gavin, to wait for him to get back from his bid for a berth in the olympics. But, as soon as he leaves, she finds out she's 17 and pregnant and worried that if she tells Gavin, he might feel trapped. Instead she marries a man she doesn't love, and it doesn't last long. When Gavin returns to town with a busted up ankle, the sparks fly as the two eventually reunite. But, since she's a photographer for the local paper, Gavin questions her motives at every opportunity.

I gave the book three stars. The 2 stories were worth the read, but not nearly as interesting as when Ms. Jackson takes on the homicidal maniacs and serial killers!!
