Book Review of Cross My Heart (Ty and Hunter, No 1)

Cross My Heart (Ty and Hunter, No 1)
reviewed Predictable, shallow on + 188 more book reviews

Not as impressed with this book as other reviewers. The heroine starts out with the two high school friends, faking her death to escape an abusive uncle. The teen relationships are mostly airbrushed. The drama of living under an alias is mostly skipped. The book is filled with secondary characters that want their own sequel. Everyone seems to dump existing relationships at the drop of a hat. Seems like there are ideas that could have been interesting plot twists, but everything is very glossed over and the book is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the size it should be.
