London around 1820s
This is the third (?) in a series.
I haven't read the first two, but after reading this, I will probably look them up.

I liked the story very much. The heroine was strong and made me laugh. The hero was very much the typical rake waiting to be reformed.
I did get a little confused with so many characters to sort through, but figured it out eventually.

As did a previous reader, I also missed having Dare proclaim his love for her in actual words. He did say something to that effect in a round-about way, but not straight forward.

Overall, I recommend this book.
