This is a book of short stories and abundant, incredable illustrations. I enjoyed it immensely because I delight in beautiful artwork. The book was published in 1978 so all of the artwork is dated, which adds a sort of charm to the book. And, I even learned a bit about ships and those whose lives are enriched by the seas. All in all, it is a lovely, large coffee-table art book.
