I really think this is the best book out of the four in the series. Given there are a few grammatical errors but I find them a lot in Gibson's books. I think she just needs to get a better editor.
The story was intriguing to me. Basically Maddie Dupree returns to the town where her mother was killed by the angry wife of the man she was having an affair with. Maddie's plan was to write a true crime book about it. But things get complicated because Maddie starts having an affair with the son of killer wife and cheating husband.
There were some touching moments and Gibson gave a great view of how the three children orphaned by the tragedy dealt with life. But there were also a lot of humor and witty banter between Maddie and Mick. Even though I really enjoy most of Gibson's books, I think dialogue is where she is usually the weakest. This book has some great dialogue.
This is a great, quick book and fun to read.
