Annabelle Granger has been on the run from an unknown danger since she can remember. Her father taught her self-defense and how to take care of herself. But he never told her why they kept changing their identities and moving from place to place.
When Annabelle reads a story in the paper about a gruesome discovery of six bodies in an underground chamber, she is shocked to read one of the dead is wearing a locket with her name. She approaches Detective Bobby Dodge and Sgt. D.D. Warren to tell them her story, and help them find the killer of six little girls.
This story has so many twists and turns I had no idea where it was going. But, I was glued to the pages to find out why Annabelle and her family were on the run and who killed the girls and hid their bodies. The story alternates between first and third person narratives, but it wasn't hard to follow at all. If you like good suspense/mysteries that aren't obvious, definitely read this one. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
