A brilliant and twisted start to what looks to be a fantastic series, Preacher: Gone to Texas doesn't so much introduce its characters and plotline as unleash them. From the madcap alcoholic Irish vampire, Cassidy, to the mutilated son of a country sheriff, to the Preacher Jesse Custer himself, Garth Ennis creates a cast of memorable and original characters and sets them on a collision course with fate. With bright, striking artwork that matches the story in tone and quality, Preacher is one of the best graphic novel series of the past ten years.
