Not as great as others in the series. Abe relies heavily on a literary device that was necessary for book two in the series, telling the reader more of the history of the drakon every couple of chapters. Information is not necessary to understanding the plot and thus the narrative screeches to a halt every couple of chapters while you hear again how beautiful and majestic dragons are. These additions were confined to the prologue and elpilogue of book one, by far the best in the series. Of all four books, this has the weakest plot and most tepid characters.
