Helpful Score: 4
I really enjoyed this book. The characters seemed real, and the way Tami Hoag dealt with them was "from the heart." It's a romance with a lesson, some passion and a story that seemed different...not your run of the mill romantic fluff.
Our heroine is Katie, but the townsfolk of Briarwood refer to her as the "ice princess." After a bad horseback riding accident left her back loaded with scars and unable to bear children, she's shut herself off from romance. Enter Nick. He's relocated to this little two-horse town from the big city, in hopes of becoming a successful restauranteur. He meets Katie and decides to seduce her. But he's not aware of what a formidable task that would be!
It really is a delightful story. It's a good reminder that scars aren't really ugly when you're looking through the eyes of love.
I gave it 5 stars!!!!!
