Vegetables Every Day: The Definitive Guide to Buying and Cooking Today's Produce With over 350 Recipes
reviewed Great book for people who like veggies, not just vegetarians! on
Helpful Score: 3

If you've ever been in the grocery store and looked at the variety of fresh veggies available and wondered how to cook them, this is the book for you! The recipes are mostly side-dishes with a few main courses included. Lots of general information about each vegetable, helpful preparation hints, how to select them, etc. The thing I love the most is that I'm adding variety to my nightly meals and I'm also experimenting with a lot of fresh herbs. Other veggie books I've looked at try to create extravagant recipes with ingredients you never have on hand or are geared toward vegetarians, this one shows you simple ways you can add them to your every-day menus. And the recipes are very easy to adapt for one or two servings.
