Book Review of Sleeping Through the Night: How Infants, Toddlers and Their Parents Can Get a Good Night's Sleep (Revised Edition )

reviewed on

This book is amazingly helpful. Mindell's advice is to be consistent, establish a routine, and comfort your child as often as you need to. It allows you to customize your sleep training, so it can be as laid-back or as intense as you are comfortable with. We found the background information on sleep patterns in infants to be very useful. It really helped us to understand why our son was waking so frequently. I'm happy to say that after following the suggestions in this book, he sleeps solidly for 10 hours at a time. I recommend this book to all new parents.
