This is THE book to read to get your baby sleeping through the night. Wish I'd read this before we even had a baby so we could have been working up to the final solution instead of making bad habits to break. Used this method with my second baby and had him sleeping through the night in month 3.

This book is amazingly helpful. Mindell's advice is to be consistent, establish a routine, and comfort your child as often as you need to. It allows you to customize your sleep training, so it can be as laid-back or as intense as you are comfortable with. We found the background information on sleep patterns in infants to be very useful. It really helped us to understand why our son was waking so frequently. I'm happy to say that after following the suggestions in this book, he sleeps solidly for 10 hours at a time. I recommend this book to all new parents.
