Awesome start to a delishous new series!!!!
Meet Mel and Angie, owners of Fairytale Cupcakes Bakery in Scottsdale Arizona. When their longtime best friend and co-owner, Tate decides to marry the worlds worst bridezilla, their booming buisness takes a massive plunge when the bride-to-be is found dead in her fasion studio, the only evidence being one of Mels origional recipe cupcakes found in her hand.
The police have built an incredibly strong case against Mel, and if things werent bad enough, her business rival, Olivia is determined to put their bakery 6 feet under. Mel and Angie are strong characters and they are determined to clear their names before its too late.
This was a great little cozy that was fast paced and sugar coated! For a small book, (215 pages) the story really packed a punch. I read it in only one sitting, but was suprised by the twist at the end. The author did a good job concealing the killers' identity until the final reveal. The scene when Mel gets away from the killer was absolutely histerical!!!! The recipes in the back were simply scrumptious, and I will definitely be following this series without a doubt.
