A nice book with sexy hero and compelling heroine. However I think the weakness of their mutual "secrets" diminished the story. Her secret, which as readers we'd known for most of the book, just didn't seem powerful enough to be the big deal that she made of it. His secret, a supposed love in the past, was ridiculous because it both painted him as a bit of a cad, and also a flake since he evidently fancied himself in love with a married woman whom he'd met three times. The reveal of their secrets was a big let down, I'd hoped for something more monumental.

Overall the story was enjoyable and I'll read more from MacLean, but I thought this one could've been better.
