Lots of action and things going on. Kate (of course) is right in the thick of it. Kate learns more about her childhood (it's not good). She and Curran continue their banter with each other. After the events in this book and the conversations they have about her and her past, their relationship is stronger. I enjoy the secondary characters in this series too. Really looking forward to more Andrea.

Next up in this series: Andrea's book "Gunmetal Magic."

A stand-out quote for me:

Andrea raised her hand. This is the hand that slapped Aunt B.
(Kate) Maybe you should have it gold-plated.
(Andrea) Here, you can touch it, since youre my best friend.
