did not care for this book as I found Agatha Raisin the main female character annoying. Also the plot was slow and seemed repetitive in parts. I did enjoy the descriptions of Cyprus and it's history.

Meara Hayden and her Down's syndrome son, Mac, have suffered tragedy, heartache, fear, loneliness and shaken faith. Jordan Baird has suffered the same feeling as well as guilt and little faith. Circumstances bring them together and their love for Mac heals them both.
Wonderfully realistic characters and a great storyline made this a a great read.

I absolutely loved this adult rendition of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Of course, it helps that I was a primary reading teacher and always loved the fairy tales! Dickerson did a great job of fleshing out this fairy tale plus giving it a few unusual twists of her own while including a faith element as well. My favorite character was Gabe because this adventure truly made him look more closely to God and become more mature and responsible. It was nice to see both his strong side as well as his loving and compassionate side. I loved each of the 7 because they were all special in their own unique way. Great book!

I loved how this story shows how an unlikely family can develop into a strong, loving family. The fact that each of the children also saw how a Christian family becomes one was also sweet. This book was a wonderful conclusion to this series and was filled with emotion, tenderness, and faith-filled romance. The writer's slow development of the relationship between Ross and Mandy was superb as Ross lives by his Christian principles and Mandy grows in her faith. Ross never rushed Mandy although he had feelings for her and waited (perhaps a little too long) for her to reach the same point in her faith relationship as him. The surprise couple at the end of the book was a nice touch to the ending.
Another good series by Lori Wick that would be enjoyed by those who like historical fiction with a good faith line.

Lady Anne Stone and her maid set out to find her uncle in America after her father's death. When the search takes them on a wagon train totally unprepared for life on the prairies headed to Oregon, they learn new things about themselves and become stronger women. Finding love along the way for Anne's maid may also be part of the adventure.
The main characters were well developed and I especially liked Anne's feisty maid, Elise. The storyline was very good and there were enough twists and turns to keep my attention

Well written book for upper elementary students focused on a time when segregation was still prevalent yet showing how God sometimes works in strange ways.

This collection of short stories are all in the vein of Alfred Hitchcock with twists, turns and surprising endings. I enjoyed them and liked being able to read each one in a single sitting.

Dan Walsh has once again shown that a man can write tender, emotional, romantic Christian fiction. His characters are true-to-life and filled with the same problems as you and I. The main character, Rick Denton, is bitter, career-driven and hard-living. His relationship with his mom and stepfather is non-existent. But when his mom turns to him in her hour of need after his stepfather has an aneurysm, he returns home to help out. As he works at their small Christian bookstore, his life is touched by a cast of characters that determine who and what he will be for the rest of his life. This story is a great testament to the transformational love of God and the beginning of new life at Christmas.
