I enjoyed this as much as the first book, "chosen by a horse" and I am looking forward to getting copy of the next book. Even though horses were not the main characters in this book, the prose draws you into Susan Richards life post horse and refers back Georgia, Tempo, Hotshot and of course, Lay Me Down.

Rutherfurd's book are a great way to learn or improve your understanding on English history. The characters make the historical events easier to understand and gives life to an otherwise dry topic. Fun and easy reading.

I have read all the books by Mark Rashid. I highly recommend them to all horse owners wanting to learn about horsemanship and don't like the "how to" type books. The stories are informative and easy to read.
