Very interesting [oint of view, but I can't say I really enjoyed reading the book. It's a good choice for a swap or a library take-out, but I wouldn't buy it. I think if knowing how a person with autism thinks, there are books out there written by someone with autism that are probably just as interesting.

Both of my daughters (6,8)love listening to it. The reader reads it well, and the stories are engaging. I think we're on our 4th go round.

Story is very good, and character interactions are well-written, but I think this book, as well as Red Mars and especially Blue Mars need serious editing. Descriptive passages and "travelogue" sections are far too long for my taste.

My daughter really liked this book; said it was very exciting (she's 8). I haven't read it myself, so I can't comment.

I thought this one was even better than Kite Runner; maybe because the main character is a woman. Hosseini writes the female perspective very well and gives the reader a glimpse into the life of some Afghani women.
