I had never heard of this author before so was very excited to read her books. I wanted to start her Pennsylvania Dutch series but haven't gotten my hands on them yet so started this series. I love a good cozy mystery and I have #2 ready to read here. It has been too long since I read this to remember the details but I will definitely continue with her books.

Great book. Not what I expected. I guess I expected to get to know Pendergast a bit. Maybe in the next books? Guess I'll have to read to find out. It was fascinating to read about this huge museum. I'd love to try to map it out and explore the non public parts.

This was a fun cozy mystery book. I read it because it was listed as the first one in Susan Wittig Albert's series China Bayles. I would like to read all these eventually. I enjoyed this book. I love to grow herbs and China does this and sells them in her shop. She is an ex-lawyer and when her good friend is found dead and it was ruled as suicide. China finds clues that make her believe it isn't suicide.

Enjoyed the book although there are a few references to things in China's life that aren't really explained almost as if it is a later one in a series so I'm left with questions. Maybe they are answered in later books instead of earlier ones. I will have to see.

I expected a lot better main character. I can't say that I like Magdelena. For a Mennonite she isn't a very nice person. Guess I'm sterotyping, but this book was nothing like what I expected. I will read the next one and see what I think. She may be one of those odd characters that grow on you.
