I had a hard time putting this book down I found it so interesting. The twists and turns in the plot had me constantly changing my mind about who was the victim in the story. I found the ending to be a little flat but because the rest of the book was so good I let that slide.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the author did a good job of developing the friendship between the 2 main characters. She also did an excellent job of describing how the "orphan train" system worked and how the children who were part of that system were treated (or mistreated I should say).

This was a great book. It showed people at their worst and at their best. I thought the author did a good job with the surprise ending.
