I chose to read this book because my husband is a general contractor, not knowing what I was getting myself into. I found this book to be a nice, easy read and found myself laughing out loud several times. I enjoyed it.

Cute book and quick read. The first time I have read a christian fiction story since I was a kid. Kept my interest throughout!

I am a huge Jane Green fan! Although not her best, nothing has competed with Jemima J, but still a good read! I think this one was missing the "laugh out loud" factor that I love in Jane Green. I would still recommend reading this one. It still takes you to another place, away from your everyday, and pulls you into the story. I stayed up late to finish!

There are very few books that I have read in a series and this one surely doesn't disappoint! Couldn't put this one down either! It has been a long time since I have been so excited by a book.

This is not my typical read...but once I started I couldn't put it down! The cover caught my eye in the store, quickly read the jacket and figured why not. This experience has actually taught me that I should open my mind to new authors! The story line was so different and intriguing from what I normally read. I had to wait a few months for The Girl Who Played With Fire and am now waiting for The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest to arrive in my mail box!

The setting and details of the time period were a cool spin on the book, however I figured out half of the mystery half way through the book. It was still a good read. I was not bored and didn't think about not finishing it...had to make sure I was right!

I have been a Christian all my life. I really enjoyed this book. I did not agree with all statements made in this book, however the "big picture" that was shown in this book was...beautiful. A topic not covered by a lot of people, relation with God & Jesus and what that may look like or how you may want it to look like for yourself. If you are looking for a book to tell you how to live or do, then this may not be for you. But for someone comfortable in my beliefs, it was moving and a little eye opening.
