Absolutely loved it! Backman is so good at using story to relay messaging. This one reveals what a wonderfully rich world this could be if we worked at dropping the barriers & dismantling pretense....then took care of one another.

Well written story about relationships, personalities, and families growing and evolving through a relatively short period of time. I enjoyed the witty dialogue and the author's presentation of main character self discovery. Some surprising twists and a satisfying ending made for an enjoyable read.

My grandson (8 yrs) loves this series. He reads them quickly. He loves the story combination: dogs and history....two favorite topics for kids.

Very well written; a delightful read. In fact, as I read I thought about the underlying relevancy of Ms. Kalish's stories concerning 'Hard Times.....During the Great Depression'. There are some Back to the Future elements & lessons here.
