We used this book to make gifts for Christmas. Everyone loved them. Several recipes call for shitake mushrooms--buy them at the asian grocery they are very inexpensive there. Plus all the recipes turned out just as the book said which is nice. This book has so many recipes if you have extra canning jars

The Complete Book of Christian Parenting Child Care: A Medical Moral Guide to Raising Happy, Healthy Children
Review Date: 7/13/2007

This book like many other Sears books is an excellent source of information. It will give you the tools to help you with your choice of parenting style. You will feel informed and equipped to defend your position on how you take care of you children. I found it very useful when confronted on why I chose to not let my baby cry it out and why I met her needs. It was useful to guide well meaning relatives to fact and common sense parenting without making them feel attacked or belittled.
very easy read as well.

So You're Thinking About Homeschooling: Fifteen Families Show How You Can Do It
Review Date: 7/20/2007

This is a great book. Even though I am already homeschooling I felt validated with the range of homeschooling types. Would make a good read for those having problems with inlaws or other family members that are not sure about the homeschooling thing.

The Surrendered Wife : A Woman's Spiritual Guide to True Intimacy With a Man
Review Date: 6/23/2007

Good book,
I was really mad at what it said first then I realised that it was right. It is hard to be corrected. This book speaks the truth about how women should be treating their husbands. It is along the same lines as "Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands". This book will help your husband start to take initiative without you having to nag all of the time.

Trim Healthy Mama: No More Fads: A Common Sense Guide to Satisfy Your Cravings and Energize Your Life

I purchased this book full price on Amazon and it is worth every penny I paid. This book is written in a casual style, with plenty of information to back up what they say. Lots of recipes and advice on how to make it work for you. I have had great success with this book and so have many others. Do yourself a favor and at least look into this book by reading reviews on Amazon, and testimonials on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TrimHealthyMama?fref=ts

As a bonus since I have been doing this plan, my back pain is next to gone, and I can think clearly again.
