Our narrator tells a simple yet emotionally moving tale of a life filled with quiet desperation and infinite dreams. I was moved enough to write a review, which I never do. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys challenging their perception of what defines a normal family.

I don't often write reviews but this collection is worth the effort. Dorrie gives the reader 4 vignettes from which the reader can try to understand the thin lines between love and obsession, rich and poor, pain and pleasure. Dorrie uses extremes so that we can find our own median. This book is so thought-provoking that I wonder if I'll ever figure it out. I don't think I want to.

I don't usually review books, but this one deserves it! If you ever wonder how it feels to be wrongfully accused or incarcerated, or if you need some inspiration to get through your own personal struggles, read this book. Even if you don't like sports, this book will make a believer out of you.
