One of my all-time favorites as a dog lover. I loved this book, and the dog whose family we read about through his eyes. He tells us about the owner (Denny) he loves, protects and grows up with. He describes his much-loved family as they go through a crisis, helping Denny avoid bad decisions along the way. Great book, and a keeper!

I almost put this book down a few times toward the beginning...it was a little sluggish to me for a few chapters, but got hooked later on and was sad to finish it.

Definitely one of my very favorite books ever! Laugh-out-loud funny, yet tugs on your heart-strings...both with real-life situations that we identify with if we have ever loved a dog. I'm keeping my copy, and will certainly buy another copy or two to share.

Great story! The first couple chapters were a little slow and confusing...but I hung in there and could hardly put it down. Definitely recommended.
