Lots of recipes at the back are the thing that excite me most. Interesting research and claims about what humans are meant to eat based on studying chimpanzees. Makes a strong case for drinking green smoothies.

Home Learning Year by Year : How to Design a Homeschool Curriculum from Preschool Through High School
Review Date: 8/18/2010
Helpful Score: 2

Overwhelming sometimes, but extremely useful. This book contains a basic list to help parents with what is generally taught when in schooling. It's usefulness is in these lists and also in the amount of resources suggested for each topic. If you are designing your own homeschooling program, it will be super helpful. N.B. Some of the free links are no longer working.

This is a lovely story. It takes place shortly after WWII has ended in England. The characters are interesting and real. The idea of a place and nature being refuges or places of healing is wonderful. This is one of my favorite books.
