Bill Bryson is up to his usual travelling with much witty and insightful enthusiasm. Quite a bit of railing about British city architectural woes, but a great, satisfying read, expecially if you're an Anglophile.

Oh, my, goodness, I loved this book. Saw the movie, too, but it was not nearly as good. Loved how the author weaved stories and time from future, past and present into the narrative. I ended up really loving the characters, especially the little girl and the Asian housekeeper.

Lots of fun - a good read even though it s pretty harrowing story. Quick read, well worth the time.
