Unbelievably dreary plot, miserable characters and not even well-written. Hard to believe this came from the creator of Harry Potter.

I liked this and will be hunting down the rest of the series. Bartholomew and Michael are well-developed characters and Gregory captures medieval Cambridge aptly and without glamour. The plot was intricate and the mystery kept me guessing right to the end.
