Good Grisham novel. Suspense, excitement, well thought-out action. Even though it was very different, it reminded me of The Firm as the main characters are similar and get into trouble not of their making.

Fool's Gold: The Inside Story of J.P. Morgan and How Wall St. Greed Corrupted Its Bold Dream and Created a Financial Catastrophe
Review Date: 3/18/2011

Gillian Tett has taken a dry subject: the creation of financial derivatives and related complex financial instruments and how that led to the financial collapse of 2008 and turned it into a gripping whodunit. Well worth reading if you want to understand what really happened.

Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race
Review Date: 2/24/2021

Very good book, very interesting. Compared to the movie, there is much more background on the day-to-day racism they experienced outside of Langley and much more detail about their work and others they interacted with.

As usual, Major Maxim gets himself into and out of a number of unusual situations - this time commanding an experimental tank (interesting by itself for an infantry officer) caught in a Jordanian Army revolt. Good Gavin Lyall writing throughout.
