I really enjoyed this book! It is evocative of life in England, and up-to-date in the way that the author portrays knitting, its resurgence and modern-day applications.

This is a great book!
Beautifully written, it explores family relationships and shows the growth and change that is possible - even though both are often painful.
As well, "Roses with Thorns" gives a sensitive, insightful look into the life of someone who depends upon dialysis for survival.

This is a beautifully written book, perhaps the best of both the Father Tim and Mitford series, and that's saying something.

Having read, and re-read, all of those books, I feel that one shouldn't read the latest without having read the previous - but doing so would certainly make the reader want to go back and seek out each series.

Characters are fully developed, and attention paid to the beautiful setting in Ireland. Cultural differences are noted and observed, but all is done in a natural, easy-to-read style.

Go forth, and enjoy this book without any reservation!

I ordered this book after reading a library copy.
It's a staple on my "comforting kitchen reads" bookshelf. Being of partly Italian extraction, reading this also brought back memories of my Nonna, which is always a good thing.
And if you've ever been on a quest to recreate a long-loved recipes, then this a great book for you.

Tiffany Stained Glass Windows: 16 Art Stickers (Fine Art Stickers)
Review Date: 9/26/2011

Grea thumbnail photos of Tiffany windows - some well-known and others not as well-known. Great, and inspiring to a glass artist.
No text, just photo stickers.
