Absolutely the worst Rizzoli & Isles book I have ever read. Silly plot, unbelievable characters, creepy ending.

I probably shouldn't say this because I'll never get rid of this book, but it's one of the worst books I've ever read. I didn't finish it, which is very very rare for me. I didn't even like the reader's voice!

The sort-of protagonist is a hapless loser who gets robbed with a friend who gets shot and killed. Most of the book consists of the police harrassing this poor sap. There is not a single likeable character in the whole book. There is lots and lots of street slang - a lot of which would require a translator. That it is not an improbable story is a sad commentary on our world, but, frankly, I don't want to spend my time hearing about it.

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I couldn't finish it. One of the most unlikable heroines I have ever run across. She is carrying on a long-standing affair with the father of the children for whom she is nanny; mind you he is still married to the children's mother and they all (mom, dad, and kids) live together!. She stalks him and shows up unexpectedly. She sneaks into the house at night when everyone is asleep. She is really scarry! She lies a lot - I guess that goes without saying. And she has visions of the future. The whole book seems to dissolve into gothic supernatural nonsense, but I couldn't stick around to see what was going to happen. How could Patterson put his name on this?!!!
