A great little story to read to a child before his or her first hair-cut, especially if it seems like a frightening prospect. Also great for emergent readers.

Absolutely fantastic, fun illustrations for this humorous tale about a tiger who lives in a city apartment building of yester-year. The tiger belongs to a boy and the tale is about their adventures and the tiger's heroism.

This book is unusual in that it is set in Africa but is not a fairy tale. Rather it is a tale about village life (peopled by animals) that really has the feel of life in an African village. Appealing illustrations. Bravo to this author!
