This is a great Summer book for an animal lover. The writing is smart and the characters are quirky. If you are looking for an entertaining and quick read, this is it!

The writing was lyrical and I thought the early stages of the story were very interesting. At a certain point it became way too religious and unbelievable for me and I struggled to finish it.

Delightfull depiction of small town life in North Carolina. The characters are quirky and charming. The story is funny and touching. A wonderful book that you never want to end.
