I am almost finished with it. Very good, glad I requested it. Christian theme, mystery, nice characters you can get involved in. Totally enjoyed the read, and will be ready to pass it on in a few days.

This book is fantastic. The real life quality to it, even though fiction,is amazing. Tastefully written, the characters are very real. I cannot wait to read The Baker's Apprentice, the same characters and an ongoing saga. The story line, about a rich spoiled 30 something, takes place on the West Coast. She gets dumped by her overly handsome husband and that is where the story takes off. The feelings Wyn experiences are so real and the dialogue and comments/thoughts are witty and hilarious. I would recommend this book to almost anyone, no matter what your tastes are. It is a book you can apply to your life, and learn from it, a stop and smell the roses kind of thing. It has actual recipes for bread, and specific techniques. Don't let that scare you off, it is NOT a cookbook! It will twang at your heartstrings. I don't want to part with it,and still, I want to pass it on to EVERYONE of my reader friends! Very down to earth in writing style, the author makes the characters so REAL, like you are a mouse in the corner of every scene observing. You can feel the rain, sun, cold, wind and smell the smells. It is like you are there. I am SO glad I found it on Paperbook Swap while looking for cookbooks. Read it, you will Love it!!!! Maureen

Robert B. Parker is a genius with smart remarks. I chuckle as I read the dialog in these books. They are quick reads and you will not be able to put them down. I recommend you read them in order, as they branch from one another.

This is a great read, I can see why it was on wish hold list and went right back out the door when I finished it. It is a bit sad, teenagers leaving for college, things that changed their future. In that vein it is very realistic and true to what can happen in life. Good read for parents in general and parents of high school children. Nice writing skills, I will look for more of her books.

The book is so different that it is hard to think of it in a class with other books. It is quite blunt in a forward way. The girl that is the theme, starts in her childhood and is shown from her perspective which is really skewed. She has so much emotional baggage and is very much always upset. She gets pretty much straightened out in an institution. Every time she trusts someone and tries to get on her feet they let her down, again. Strange little book, but I am glad I read it.
