A book that is both heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time ... it reminds us to treasure our loved ones and never take any day for granted

This is a delightful, lighthearted read! Miss Julia is a strong and opinionated character who makes the reader laugh when occasionally we see ourselves in her comments and thoughts. Her perspective on manners, propriety, and upbringing makes the reader realize how silly and narrow-minded we can be if allow that to happen. After you read the first one, you will want to continue in the series!

I found the novel to be suspenseful, realistic, and entertaining. Sparks' characters are portrayed as people we might know in our own daily lives, with joys, sorrows, hopes, and failings.
