This book was on many lists this summer as the book to read. A bit of a disappointment. It just kind of plodded along and then an attempt at a big finale.

I really wanted to read this book based on the description but it was such a disappointment. I did not like the back and forth between past and present. Without giving away any secrets of the book I will just say that I did not like what happened towards the end of the book. Seemed totally unnecessary and disconnected from the main storyline.

The only reason I finished this book was because someone gave it to me. Disturbing, disjointed and the author tried to tie everything up in a nice little ribbon in the last section.
