This is good little murder mystery that takes place at the turn of the century in Houston, Texas' Heights neighborhood. A quick, easy read with a dash of some Houston history. Recommended.

One of the worst books I have ever read! I would have given it zero stars but was unable. I made it to 100 pages and just couldn't get through it. Pure trash.

I could not get into this book. I'm not one for organized religion and I didn't know this book was heavy on preaching. I just didn't like it.

I have read several books by Minette Walters and this one disturbed me. Not sure if I recommend it or not. Just bizarre and not like her usual stories at all.

I did not this book in the least. My thing is if I don't like a book after 50 pages, give it up. Well, I gave this one until 52. Don't waste your time.

I don't review many books but I felt I had to review this one. It was superb. For a first novel I was blown away. I lived in Houston for more than 20 years so it was weird to read about places I have actually been. This book is sad and thought provoking. I highly recommend it.

While I respect everyone's opinion on those who liked it, I could not get into this book! I kept putting it down and after about 5 days I was still only on page 181! I posted it back on my bookshelf. I hope the next person likes it better than I did.

Dead Center: Behind the Scenes at the World's Largest Medical Examiner's Office
Review Date: 9/16/2012

Wonderful inside look of the NYC Medical Examiner's Office. Shiya Ribowsky planned and set up a first rate response team to the horrific 9/11 attacks and worked on it for three years. Very, very interesting book.
